Any ideas ? would be very grateful

Hello , I would like some ideas on what could be causing this pain please , I have a dentist appointment booked for the 24th of this month but i'm a worrier and would just like some ideas . I have this dull sharp pain not really like toothache in my gum next to my wisdom tooth on and off for a while now , The gum isn't red or swollen it looks normal the only thing which isn't normal is that there looks like a slit in the gum next to the tooth , again its not red or swollen etc . Could it be that my wisdom tooth hasn't stopped growing yet ? Im 20 . Thank you
