i have had a gum fistula above #5 for over 6 weeks. I pop the blister daily and puss escapes. The dentist has referred me to a oral'maxillofacial surgeons practice. My prescription says implant consult w/bone loss. I am very guarded as I have no dental insurance. Does anyone know the lowest level of surgery I would need? (e.g. bridge vs implant)

Well, you try to save the tooth with a root canal if you can. If you cannot, you have to extract it. Having pus draining in your mouth is not very healthy.
