How to stop infection from progressing?

Hi everyone,

I have been having major dental problems for a while now. I would need three root canals done. Both my canine teeth on top have eroding enamel. I am jobless and don’t have an insurance. My canines have been hurting really badly lately. I was able to get fillings for them but the pain didn’t go away. I asked the dentist if I could have them pulled. He said it is not advisable to pull my canine teeth without getting replacement because they would cause problems in the future. He also said I have long roots and the procedure would be complicated.

He told me I have an infection that need to be taken care of as soon as possible. I have already used up my savings for the fillings. I am really worried for the infections to get worse. What should I do? Does anyone have any suggestion on how to stop the infection from progressing and spreading to the other parts of my body? Please help! I am really scared. Thanks so much!

Hello. Yes, your dentist was right. Canines are very important teeth in our mouth and help to keep our facial appearance. Canines are also protective against damage to teeth or fracture during chewing and jaw movements. You may take antibiotics that your dentist can prescribe to help stop the infection. What was the reason he did nor prescribe you right away. It is very important not to leave the infection untreated.
