I got all my wisdom teeth removed a week ago. Since then,I have been experiencing a strange and random waves of pins and needles feeling in my gum line and teeth. There is also a throbbing pain in my gum area. My lip, chin and tongue are numb. Do I have a damaged nerve? If so, what do I do? Help please! Thanks!

Hi Citydent!
The nerve seems bruised from the recent work that was done. This is a temporary condition so do not worry. It will heal in time.

Hi!
Permanent numbness is very rare so do not worry. It could just simply be an irritation but you should still make a follow-up appointment with your oral surgeon.
