receding gums

I can almost see my full tooth on the bottom in the front. There is not much gum left at all.

I'm 18 and I never brushed as a child, so I lost 2 teeth.
I can't, however, remember the last time i brushed less than 2x in one day.

Anyway, ofc I'm trying to go see a dentist as soon as humanly posible. I canot lose another tooth, I just can't.. I can't smile with 2 missing teeth.

What is the risk/odds of losing the tooth?
I got a dentist appt for march 7th

Dear Algroshaw !

I have 2 questions:
1. Do you have any swelling near to your teeth?

2. Do you teeth move?

1. I don't think there is swelling

2. I do think my teeth may move (wiggle), but its hard to tell with my finger.

Dear Algroshaw !

There are some cases when the patients has so big plaques, that it's harming to the gum. In your case I can't realize how serious is this threat, beacuse I don't know when was the last time when they removed your gum. It can be the problem. If you try to move your teeth with your hand, and you can feel that its can be moved, maybe you have a periodontal status.

To make an accurate diagnosis, you must show your x-ray to a doctor.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to send a message!

I brush twice a day.. Perhaps I brush too hard, and I wore away the gums..
I don't think it's plaque, s my brushing sessions are 5 minutes long.
What is the risk of losing the tooth? There is only less than a centimetre of gum left from the bottom of my mouth, probably just a few milimetres, up the tooth on the left 2/3 of the tooth. On the right half, there are still some gums
